Chhar Gongma Journalism Award

Mhendola Fole Program was honored with the Journalism Award at Chhar Gongma in appreciation of the contribution made to the language, culture, identity, history, religion and rights of the Tamang people.

We take pride in the impactful milestones we’ve achieved on our journey of preserving and promoting Tamang culture. These achievements reflect our commitment to the community and our dedication to making a lasting positive impact. Here are some key highlights:

Tamang community’s historical festival Lhochhar as well as historical and religious fair Timal Jatra has been being propagated and broadcast annually since the beginning of the program. The duration of this work done in Boudha and Swoyambhu is 2 days of every Chaitra Purnima. The achievement of this program at the expense of F.N.O Media House is to preserve and promote the culture or identity of the tribal Tamang community.

The effort to publicize the 3rd International Tamang Conference and the conversation about Tamang identity with various personalities related to that occasion is to spread awareness among the Tamang community.

 In order to bring the accurate data of the Tamang community in the 2068 census, join the awareness campaign called “Let’s Write Tamang” and create and broadcast a program to raise awareness among the Tamang community in various districts of the country such as Kavre, Sindhupalchok, Makwanpur, Hetuda. At the expense and management of F.N.O Media House. The achievement of the program, which was conducted for 4 months in August, September, October and November 2068, has come to the accurate statistics of the Tamang caste in the results of the census 2068.

Participated in the palace excavation campaign of Tamang King Hrenjen Dorje, which has historical significance, and succeeded in promoting it in Tikal area of Kavre. The achievement of this program initiated by F.N.O Media House has awakened the preservation of Tamang history.

 Like Tamang rites: With the aim of informing the Tamang community who are in a confused state about Ghewa, we went to Tamang Settlement and broadcast a similar program like Ghewa rites that took place there and presented a conversation about Ghewa rites with the living lama of that place. The achievement of this program conducted by FNO in various districts of the country is the preservation of Tamang identity such as Tamang art, culture, and tradition.

 Interviews with various individuals who have contributed to the country and society in various positions of the nation. The achievement of this program is to provide inspiration to the Tamang community.

The activities of various organizations active in Tamang society, broadcasting the activities in Tamang society through Mhendola Fole Sangyur. In the context of actively supporting Tamang and indigenous communities, It has played a pivotal role in promoting their organizations.

 On the occasion of the completion of 130 episodes of Mhendola Fole broadcast, Mhendola Fole Srasta Honor and Musical Program was organized and a musical program was organized to honor the various Tamang artists who contributed from their respective areas to the Tamang society. The main achievement of this program, which was held on 31 August , 2011 at the Nepal Pragya Pratishthan Kamaladi, Kathmandu, at the expense and management of F.NO.

As an artist and filmmaker himself, Gopal Bhutani expressed his desire to embrace Nepali citizenship, and Mhendola Fole conveyed this message to the nation and relevant authorities. The broadcast featured a conversation between Gopal Bhutani and Mhendola Fole, discussing his financial challenges and life experiences. FNO’s efforts at Bhutani’s residence honored the Ukjan Janajati (indigenous) artist.

As an educational campaign, Mhendola Fole started the social and educational work in the dilapidated school building of Sri Jogeshwar Mavi located at Mahadeutar-1 in Kavre. F.N.O  work has caused a wave of happiness on the faces of the Indigenious people of the area, saying that it is very easy for the People to get education in the area where 100% indigenious people live.
