Lal Dhoj Lama began his political journey by joining the CPN (Maoist) in 2054. His early involvement in politics saw him as a member of the SAIL Committee in 2056. By 2058, he became an underground activist and an Area Committee Member.
In the same year, he was elected as the President of the Temal People’s Cultural Family and later became a District Committee Member. His leadership skills were recognized, and he was appointed as a District Committee Secretariat Member in 2060.
By 2063, he served as the YCL District Committee Co-Secretary and Constituency No. 1 Coordinator. His rise through the ranks continued, and in 2067, he became the YCL District Committee Vice President. He was later appointed as the YCL District Committee Chairman in 2070 and a central member in 2071.
In 2078, he was elected as the CPN (Maoist Center) Temal District President. As of 2081, he is serving as a Member of Bagmati Province and in charge of Temal District.
