Safalta Theeng Tamang is a dedicated student and an influential community leader from Kavre District, Nepal. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law (BALLB) at Nepal Law Campus, she has shown a deep commitment to social justice and community service from an early age.
Her journey in leadership began when she was appointed as the Chairperson of the Child Club of Bethanchowk Rural Municipality while studying in class eight. This role ignited her passion for advocating child rights, leading her to conduct various awareness programs aimed at protecting the rights of children. As she progressed in her education, Safalta’s desire to support marginalized communities grew, motivating her to embark on her legal studies.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Safalta is the Chairperson of the Nepal Student Ghedung Nepal Law Campus Unit Committee, where she spearheads legal awareness camps at the local level. Her involvement in environmental advocacy is evident through her membership in the Green Club at Nepal Law Campus.
Safalta’s achievements extend to the realm of pageantry, where she was crowned Miss Tamang in 2021. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, she leveraged her platform to organize food distributions, health camps, and legal awareness initiatives in collaboration with various organizations. Her role as the official host for events such as Miss Tamang and Mr. Tamang showcases her versatility and charisma. During her tenure, she also received titles such as Miss Intellectual, Best Walk, and Popular, further highlighting her multifaceted talents.
Recognized for her eloquence and leadership skills, she has participated in numerous competitions, winning accolades including the Best Speaker award at the Model Provincial Assembly competition. Currently, she actively engages in Moot Court Competitions, further honing her legal skills.
Safalta has also served as the Brand Ambassador for the Lumbini World Peace Forum and has received letters of honor from various organizations for her contributions to society.
Coming from a common middle-class family, Safalta expresses her deep gratitude towards her parents for their sacrifices that have enabled her educational journey. She completed her schooling at a government school in Kavre and pursued her +2 education at Kathmandu Model College, Balkumari, Lalitpur, with a focus on law.
As a first-generation student in the legal field, she faces challenges but views them as opportunities to grow and learn. With a clear vision and goal for her future, Safalta Theeng Tamang continues to strive for a better community and a brighter future for all.
