” Mhendola Fole’s Social Campaign: A Service as a Duty

Driven by the belief that service is its own religion, Mhendola Fole has embarked on a journey to promote social welfare. Starting from Mangsir 2065 to 2071, with the objective of preserving and enhancing Tamang community’s art, culture, and heritage, the program aired weekly on Nepal Television Plus as the only television program in the Tamang language. Despite facing various obstacles, the program continued to run until recently.

In pursuit of its primary goal, Mhendola Fole is soon launching new content on YouTube, continuing its dedication to social work. The revival of Mhendola Fole coincides with its commitment to social work, evident in the recent success of a fundraising event held for cancer patient Ran Bahadur Vik on the 21st of Bhadra. The program successfully collected the initial funds needed for the treatment of Ran Bahadur, who lost a leg due to complications in cancer treatment.

The collected funds were transferred to the patient through a program organized today. This act of support, driven by selfless and sacred intentions, resulted in a collection of NPR 55,000/-. The chief guest for today’s event, Khempo Sarbjit Gompa, handed over the funds to the patient.

Mhendola Fole’s commitment to social work has garnered heartfelt gratitude from everyone involved. The continuous support and collaboration in the future are anticipated. In the end, Mhendola Fole expresses gratitude for the successful completion of today’s social campaign, and as a token of appreciation, refreshments were provided at Swyambhu Bhagawanpau’s sweet dal restaurant, operated by Neryu Lama.
