Kathmandu: The Mhendolafole Foundation is set to officially launch its landmark publication, “Mhendolafole: One Hundred Personalities, One Hundred Stories,” on Monday, July 27, 2026 (11 Shrawan 2083 B.S.) at 1:00 PM at the National Theatre (Rastriya Nachghar), Jamal, Kathmandu.
Published under the theme “A Historical Record of the Priceless Life Experiences of One Hundred Remarkable Personalities,” the book brings together the life journeys, struggles, experiences, insights, and contributions of one hundred distinguished individuals from diverse fields.
Based on the inspiring conversations featured on the Mhendolafole Podcast, the book transforms those conversations into one hundred inspiring life stories, preserving them as a historical record for future generations. It highlights the experiences and contributions of personalities representing literature, arts, culture, history, education, politics, social service, research, media, sports, business, and many other sectors.
According to the Mhendolafole Foundation, this publication is more than a collection of interviews. It is a valuable source of inspiration, research, and historical reference that preserves the wisdom, experiences, and legacies of distinguished personalities for generations to come.
As part of its broader mission, the Foundation also operates www.mhendolafole.org, a digital platform dedicated to documenting and promoting the Tamang language, culture, history, literature, and heritage. The website also features the Tamang Database, an ongoing initiative to digitally preserve valuable information related to the Tamang community. This publication represents another significant milestone in advancing that mission.
The Foundation has also announced that all proceeds from the sale of the book will be used to support social, educational, and cultural initiatives through the Mhendolafole Foundation. The funds will contribute to educational support programs, the development and expansion of the Tamang Database, and projects dedicated to preserving and promoting the Tamang language, arts, culture, history, and identity.
